Are you…

  • A young disabled person?
  • Aged 15-25?
  • Living in Manchester?

We want you on board!

Our Young Disabled People’s Forum is designed to create an inclusive and accessible space. You’ll get to learn new skills, meet new people, make decisions and voice your opinion.

So what’s on?

Make it Happen!

These will be a range of activities shaped by participants – you.

Some example activities include: mask-making, t-shirt design and making, self-defence and assertiveness, drama, healthy living and trips out. Your suggestions and ideas will guide what we do, and you can get involved with planning them too.

Monthly forum night

This is an evening to socialise and have fun with other young disabled people in Manchester. We will meet one evening a month and it will be a safe and accessible space for discussions and laughs, with snacks on the side!

One-to-one sessions

Book in to get support with issues you might be having, such as access to transport, leisure, work and volunteering. You can access this part of the project at any time when access barriers come your way, and we can work together to challenge and remove them.

We do everything to ensure that our sessions are accessible. If you have any access needs, let us know beforehand and we will make sure that we make the right arrangements. We can support travel costs to sessions at GMCDP, including accessible taxis where needed.
